Axis is a third-person action prototype built in Godot, focused on directional targeting and melee combat.
It showcases a state-driven third-person character controller in a small, physically interactive demo level. You can move, jump, roll, and attack enemies, with hitstop, camera shake, and a stagger/poise system adding combat feedback.

Assets were sourced from open platforms like Kenney.nl and OpenGameArt.org, animations from Mixamo and edited in Blender. All assets were adapted manually, and all code was written by me.

Movement: WASD / Left Analog Stick

Camera: Mouse / Right Analog Stick

Target Lock: Right Click / Xbox LT / PlayStation L2

Light Attack: Left Click / Xbox RB / PlayStation R1

Heavy Attack: F / Xbox RT / PlayStation R2

Sprint: Shift / Xbox A / PlayStation Cross

Jump: Space / Xbox Y / PlayStation Triangle

Evade: V / Xbox B / PlayStation Circle
